Super Hybrid System
Our SHS - Super Hybrid System, acts like EV + Super HEV. With a smooth EV driving feel, instant torque from the electric motors for quick reaction, and the reassurance of being able to generate electricity on the go via the 1.5 turbo engine. Omoda 9 really is the best of both worlds.

With a combined drive power of 449PS and 700NM the Omoda 9 can hit 62mph in just 4.9 seconds, whilst still returning over 700 miles on one tank and one charge.

ECO, Normal and Sport driving modes are supplemented by 2 additional modes - Snow and Off-Road. Each mode alters wheel slip margins, with ESC and other vehicle control functions ensuring you have the confidence to tackle whatever mother nature serves up.
Eco
Optimise throttle response and air conditioning settings to give you the most efficient version of the Omoda 9.
Normal
The perfect balance of vehicle settings to give you an efficient, yet fast performing every day car. The CDC system operates in Comfort mode.
Sport
Power takes precedence. The CDC firms up to minimise body roll and maximise sporty driving dynamics.
Mud
As driving in mud requires more wheelslip in order to find traction, Mud mode enables the car to do just that, with more movement also in the ESP setting.
Snow
Allowing initial wheel slip to coat the tyres with snow, wheelslip is minimised to ensure maximum traction. ESP and other vehicle control systems prioritise safety.
Off-road
Thanks to our intelligent four-wheel drive system, the ESP provides stability to optimise performance on uneven terrains, taking advantage of the electromagnetic suspension.

Our Super Hybrid System is quickly making a name for itself. Unlike conventional plug-in hybrids, the SHS never lets its batteries fully deplete. So, once you have used most of the 93 miles of EV range on offer, the car will still drive like a full hybrid, giving the driver the best of both worlds. SHS = EV + Super HEV.
Battery
The Omoda 9 is powered by our 34kWh battery, its IP68 rated, ensuring its dust resistance, as well as water proof. It can be left submerged in 1 metre of water for an hour without causing damage. Capable of charging at 80kW, the 30-80% charge can be completed in just 28 minutes.
CDC
Complimenting the smooth EV-like driving is our CDC, Continuous Damper Control system. It use electromagnetics to alter the damping force fo the dampers in the car to absorb imperfections as you drive.
