The SHS-H hybrid system is Jaecoo 5's first Self Charging powertrain. Combining advanced combustion, thermal management, and efficiency technologies to deliver low fuel consumption, reduced emissions, and class-leading thermal efficiency, powered by a 5th-gen 1.5L turbo engine, hybrid system, and high-performance 1.83KWh battery.

With a drive power of 207PS and 288NM of torque, the Jaecoo 5 can hit 62mph in 7.7 seconds. Our unique electric motor has flat wire winding, that means the magnet coils are carefully pressed and super efficient. Improving response, electricity consumption and it's also quieter than alternative systems.

Our Super Hybrid System is quickly making a name for itself. Unlike conventional plug-in hybrids, the SHS never lets its batteries fully deplete. So, once you have used most of the 93 miles of EV range on offer, the car will still drive like a full hybrid, giving the driver the best of both worlds. SHS = EV + Super HEV.

The Omoda 9 is powered by our 34kWh battery, its IP68 rated, ensuring its dust resistance, as well as water proof. It can be left submerged in 1 metre of water for an hour without causing damage. Capable of charging at 80kW, the 30-80% charge can be completed in just 28 minutes.
CDC
Complimenting the smooth EV-like driving is our CDC, Continuous Damper Control system. It use electromagnetics to alter the damping force fo the dampers in the car to absorb imperfections as you drive.
